How to Create Payment Requests in Niobi \--- Introduction Payment requests allow you to collect payment for an existing invoice. When you create a payment request, Niobi automatically generates a payment link that customers can use to complete payment. Payment requests are useful when you want to remind customers to pay an invoice or provide them with an easy way to make payment. Before You Start Make sure you have: ✔ A customer already created in Niobi ✔ An invoice already created ✔ The invoice currency Step 1: Go to Payment Requests 1. Log into Niobi. 2. Navigate to Inflows → Payment Requests. 3. Click Create New. Step 2: Fill in the Request Details Complete the following fields: • Customer – Select the customer. • Currency – Select the currency. • Invoice – Select the pre-created invoice. • Amount – Enter the amount to request. • Active Duration – Select how long the payment link should remain active. • Send Via – Choose either Email or WhatsApp. • Recurring – Enable this option if you want recurring payment requests. Once finished, click Request Payment. Step 3: Send the Payment Request 📧 Email If you choose Email: ✔ The request is sent automatically to the customer's email address. ✔ The payment link is included automatically. ✔ The PDF invoice is attached automatically. The email is sent to the email address captured when the customer was created. 📱 WhatsApp If you choose WhatsApp: ✔ Niobi generates the payment link. ✔ Copy the link and share it manually with the customer. ✔ Attach the PDF invoice when sending the message. Payment Status You can return to Inflows → Payment Requests to monitor requests. Common statuses include: 📤 Sent – Request has been sent to the customer. 💰 Paid – Customer has completed payment. ⚠ Expired – The active duration has elapsed. ❌ Cancelled – The request is no longer active. Important Notes ✔ An invoice must be created before creating a payment request. ✔ Creating a payment request automatically generates a payment link. ✔ Customers do not need a Niobi account to pay. ✔ Email delivery includes both the payment link and the PDF invoice automatically. ✔ For WhatsApp, the payment link and invoice must be shared manually. Typical Workflow 1. Create a customer. 2. Create an invoice. 3. Go to Inflows → Payment Requests. 4. Create a payment request. 5. Niobi generates a payment link. 6. Send the request via Email or WhatsApp. 7. Customer completes payment. 8. Track payment status from the Payment Requests page.
