How to Pay Bills in Niobi Introduction The Bill Payment feature in Niobi lets you pay one or more outstanding bills in a single guided flow. Unlike a one-off Express Payment, this flow is built around your existing bills—you select which bills to pay, review a consolidated summary, and authorize everything at once, even if you're paying multiple bills to different payees. In this guide, you'll learn how to: - Select the bill(s) you want to pay - Review the amount, fees, and total debit before paying - Check a consolidated summary across all selected bills - Authorize the payment and access your receipt afterward Time to complete: About 3–5 minutes\ Difficulty: Beginner Before You Start Before you pay bills in Niobi, make sure you have: - An active Niobi account with sufficient available balance in the relevant currency - At least one outstanding bill already logged in your workspace - A payment method linked to the payee on the bill (e.g., MPESA Paybill), or the ability to add one - Your authenticator app set up, since every bill payment requires 2-factor authorization If a bill doesn't have a valid account attached, it will show as unavailable in the bill list—you'll need to fix that on the bill or payee record before it can be paid. How to Pay Bills in Niobi Step 1: Choose Bill(s) From the Make Payments screen, select Bill Payment from the dropdown at the top left. This is Step 1 of 4 — Choose Bill. - Browse the Select Bills list, where each row shows a checkbox, the bill's invoice number, payee name, masked account number, and amount. - Use the Sort dropdown to reorder bills, and the Per Page and pagination controls at the bottom to move through longer lists. - Check the box next to each bill you want to include—you can select more than one, even across different payees. - As you select, the Selected Bills panel on the right updates live with a running count and subtotal. Note: If a bill shows "No KES account found" instead of a masked account number, it can't be paid until a valid account is linked to that payee. Once you've selected your bill(s), click Continue. Step 2: Confirm Amount and Choose When to Pay This screen shows the details for the bill you selected (or, for multiple bills, you'll move through this per bill or see it rolled up depending on your selection): - Invoice No. — read-only reference from the bill - Transaction Amount — the amount owed on the bill - Fees — the fee for this transaction - Payment Method — the payee's linked account (masked) and method tag (e.g., MPESA Paybill); click + Add Method if you need to link a different one On the right, the Summary panel shows the bill count, subtotal, total fees, and Total Debit for everything you've selected so far. You have two options: - Pay Now — proceed immediately to review and authorization - Schedule For Later — queue the payment for a future date instead Step 3: Review the Bill Payment Summary Before anything is sent, you'll see a cons
